What are eye lifts and how much do they cost? Eye lift surgery or Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure to improve the skin area around the eye by removing excess skin. It alters the overall look of the eye to the patient’s liking whether it is widening or narrowing or a shape alteration of the eye. Eye lifts considerably improve on puffiness of the eyes, drooping and age-concerned changes in the eye area.

There is minimal risk in these types of surgery since there are only miniscule incisions made and because there are special protective shields that are placed, but, if performed by a would-be or non-official medical practitioner, the results will be catastrophic to the patient/s involved. Always be sure to find a licensed and official surgeon for cosmetology and cosmetic surgeries and be sure to confront your surgeon about past medical experiences, medications, and allergies.
To prepare for the surgery, patients will have to undergo testing and evaluation. Surgeons will sometimes prescribe meds so the patient can adhere better to the operation and with patients with existing medications, the surgeon might change them into something more suitable for the operation. Smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages must also be stopped prior and after the surgery.
The eye lift procedure is almost pain-free with the help of local or twilight types of anesthetics. Surgeons will ensure that the area or areas to be improved are numb so that the patient will not feel any discomfort. The incisions done on the eyes are made as ‘not to be seen’ or hidden in plain sight. Many types of incisions whether on the lower or upper eyelid may be performed by the surgeon depending on the case. Often, Sutures that are either removable or absorbable are used, the latter being the easier choice. Skin adhesives and surgical tapes are also used in this operation.

You didn’t answer the question? Eye lifts cost between $2,500 and $4,000.
I know of a non-surgical eye lift called Eye Magic that only costs $24.95, which is what I use as an alternative to surgery. I buy it at EyeMagic.net
