The area of incision. Breast implants are inserted in incisions and the type of incision made also influences the cost of the procedure. They are usually made in sites that provide minimal visual scarring and the appropriate type is made according to the type of implant, desired outcome, your anatomy, and according to the surgeon’s preference. The type of incision include: Inframammary (under the breasts), transaxillary (via the axillary/armpit), Periareolar (via the areola).
The healthcare facility. Where the surgery takes place also determines the cost of breast augmentation. Though they are usually done in the hospital, some procedure may also take place in a private clinic. Cost for the medical facility may range from $800 to $1,200
The anesthesia. You will be sedated during the surgery; either by general anesthesia, where you are asleep, or by local anesthesia, where you remain awake. General anesthesia is more costly than a local anesthesia. Anesthesia fee usually ranges from $600 to $800.
The Breast Implants. Breast implants are either placed under the pectoral muscle or directly behind the breast tissue. There are two types of breast implants (saline and silicone) and the one used for you will be determined according to your breast anatomy, desired size, skin elasticity and body type. Saline breast implant employs the use of sterile salt water (compatible with your body fluids) while silicone breast implants uses elastic gels that feels somewhat like the natural breast tissue. Cost for breast implants may range from $1,000 to $1, 300.
So how much does a boob job cost? The average total cost for breast augmentation ranges from at least $4,000 to as high as $10,000.

Breast augmentation prices can change depending on the time of the year. I work for a doctor in Oklahoma City who sees patients from different states.
